as i said, i havn't had any experience of working in the arboriculture world apart from a few little private jobs. I am only getting my tutors advice at the moment and i believe what they teach our group is good information. I believe this course is going to help me massively towards knowledge and also experience of starting life in the arb world

Yep, all sounds great, but the point i am getting at is, although the tree ended up in the right place, your instructor should have said;

"Yes, thats a nice first fell, but here is how you can improve, and i will explain the risks associated with doing it the way you did"

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
