Tree for sale.

That tree is probably ten miles away from where i work.

 

I wonder if the guy got a shock when some local tree outfit qouted him over a grand to fell and remove that tree, so he decided it must be worth something and is selling it on ebay.

 

To me that tree looks like its dying.

 

Quite often I get customers grumbling to me about the cost of a fell on certain trees i.e cedar, walnut and oak, they believe the timber is of such high value we should be doing it for less or even for free. Had one customer complain to me that her walnut timber was probably worth thousands and that my boss was a scoundrel for charging her so much.

When i get customers saying this i just say,no problem you pay me to fell the tree and clear the brash and I'll leave you the timber,then you can sell the timber and get your money back or ever make a profit if it worth as much as you think

ive just bee to look a wind blown oak the owner asked me to cut it into 8 foot lengths for milling.lol

i explained to her that it was'nt fit for milling she assured me that it was,lol and that a joiner friend would make her a table out of it.lol:stupid: you learn something new every day!!!!! and i thought it was only fit for fire wood, but hey what do i know:hmmmm2:

I might bid on it. I can get a really good price for cedar like that. The last tree like that I milled, I got nearly £1200 for the timber. I'd want to drop the stem myself though (in 16' chunks), and I'd want access for a 6 wheeler AND I'd want all the limbs as firewood.

so it is true what they say you can buy anything on ebay?

 

why would you sell a tree on ebay and better yet why would someone bid on a tree on ebay?
