hi ya has anyone used the treeimagineers hitch climber, and if so how do you rate it?

its bloody great mate. although i think that depends if you like climbing with a pulley or not.

i have just paid for it but havent yet received it yet, and cant wait to try it out!!!, it looks great, and has so many uses that it looks likes its gonna be a very worthwhile bit a kit!

i dont leave the ground without it personally. it has lots of applications in climbing and light rigging systems. check out 'hitch climbers guide to the canopy'. quality resourse.

there great i love mine, but they have to be used properly (imo) i've seen people climb to the top of a tree then pull the slack through thats not good:thumbdown:

its not a new thing, its just an old knot tied with a fancy bit of string and a diff pulley.

 

and yes i do have two, and yes i find they each have the same problems!!!!!!

 

they are great once youve got your main anchor point and walkin out, but a bit fiddly to assend with, as im just too used to pushin me knot up! if youv got a groundie belayin its ok, but lets face it, most groundies are around the other side of the site fillin a chipper wiv the muffs down, they aint goin to hear you screamin to pull on your rope!!

or you could try tieing a marlin spike above your bowline/splice and clip the pulley into that. means you can get under the pulley to ascend. works well i find. or the o rig if youve got a nice high anchor to begin with.
