On monday i felled a cedar which had been topped out for some reason. Instead of just turning it into firewood i decided to mill it into 3" thick boards by 12ft long. Heck they were heavy.

looksgood mate bet it smelt nice,you got any plans for the milled wood?

 

Yeah going to make some of it into some simple benches and seats. Nothing fancy. Still think that cedar has the best looking grain of any tree (imo).

Making stuff to order rather than just making stuff is the way to go.... it means you get it done and finished rather than half done and lying around the place.

 

And also people see it and want it! :thumbup:
