My bloody 044 was stolen this week. It was an insanely good saw. Early model, completely rebuilt. 28" light bar on it. ported exhaust, base basket delete and timing advance - it was a cracking saw. serial was (120469265)

I also had an ms361 stolen at the same time, serial (168859607)

Sorry to hear this. I helped a neighbour recently when is quad was hotwired and stolen by some teenagers, lots of damage and they broke a gate. They were not that bright and posted videos online, then dumped the quad and I caught them in the act of dumping.

The police have done nothing so far

I've had a bit of kit nicked over the years , notably a Stihl cut off saw from under my nose when doing a job in town, police didn't - or maybe couldn't ? do anything. Anybody stealing gear, especially stuff needed to make a living,  deserves to be given a chainsaw enema.....

Once upon a time, we used to joke that pilfering and suchlike behaviour round here could be harmful to the ne'er do well's health, with the large amount of projectile weapons and heavy plant on the local farms.
