Hi all, Ive got a A329Z chipper and it needs a new PTO shaft. Should it have an over run clutch on it? Also, does it need a shear bolt type shaft? Im new to PTO chippers. The shaft the came with it doesn't look to the the correct one and far too short for our tractor.  So want to get a fresh one. Any advise would be much appreciated.  Thanks

No help from the importers? GreenMech used an AX8 with a shear bolt lobe with either an M10 or M12 shear bolt at the tractor end and an overrun clutch on the chipper end. Depending on the tractor clutch and HP, start out with 8.8 bolts and go up! But remember,  the shear bolt is a cheap weak link as you dont want to screw up the tractor or chipper - keep spares and spanners in the cab!
