Yep . For me it is . Had a farmer once say he wanted us to taqke down a massive Silver Birch . That was an Aspen

Don't come into contact with it much myself but according to tinternet it ignites readily and burns well with little smnoke but doesn't last long. Splits easily though so better for kindling than logs. Seems a shame not to use it for something.

Its like most Poplar I have burned . Once seasoned MUST be kept dry as it sucks water back in like blotting paper . Other woods like Ash and Beech can get wet from rain after seasoning but a bit of wind/sun and they are good to go again . Not so with Poplar . Keep it dry and it burns fine .
