I’ve just had a wheel snap off on my Timberwolf 150 dhb 2007 model. The chipper isn’t with me at the moment and I’m trying to source a replacement. Western trailers need a plate number for its specs.
Any ideas?

They used different chassis and axles through production but I think the later sub 750kg had alko axles from when one I had snapped.

Trailertek used to supply made-to-measure indespension trailer axles very reasonably - you just need to take a few measurements. Not sure if they still do but I’d definitely suggest you have a look.

Presumably you mean the jockey wheel ?.

I doubt it, they were pretty notorious on the sub 750 to do this …

Certain swearwords come to mind at that abomination.

Guessing the bolted on wheel shafts didn't have a castle nut ?.

Pretty sure there are two different axle types fitted to the older unbraked Timberwolf chippers and they don't interchange, I had to replace the axle on ours a few years ago and Greenplant were the cheapest supplier I could find. Worth talking to them even if its only to identify what you have. They do take a hammering, I followed a transit a while back, driver was bridging speed humps with the vehicle while the chipper was leaving the ground by about eighteen inches, how the thing never flipped over is a miracle.
