Hi everyone 👋🏻I’m Ted and I work for Isuzu Trucks in Warrington.🚚

We like to think of ourselves as specialists and are based on the same industrial estate as Brit-Tipp. We always have arb builds on the go, working with them or PD Stevens.

I’ve put together a quick video showing what we do  have a look and let me know if there’s any interest 👍

Lovely bodywork there, tell me, say with two people in it, climbing kit, couple saws, clearing up kit,  fuels and oils, tripod ladder etc, just how much woodchip could this carry? I reckon it must be close to 300kg?

On a similar note, do you ask prospective purchasers if they need a tachograph fitting etc?

Lots of nice detail in that body - it’s a shame they didn’t line up the top and bottom of the toolbox and tipper though, looks a bit half-arsed to me.

Fair bit of overhang behind the rear axle, possibly a bit light on the handlebars with 3t of chip and finished off with rings!?!

Tree company in next-door village has a grafter, with a brt tip body followed it the other day and body was wobbling about like cardboard box could not believe it. But then followed another company and that body looked solid. Couldn't see builder label.

Plus that yellow grab rail will get thrown in the bin as you can't open the door fully to tip.

Moving it onto the top cross member might be a better position as also usable for a ladder tie down.

Hi Mick,

Yes, this is a common question with these 3.5-tonne ARB vehicles. Please see the attached official weight statistics (the one in the picture is an N35.125 SWB Manual with a payload of 875 kg).

This year we’ve also built several N55.150 (5.5-tonne) vehicles and even supplied an F13.5 (13.5-tonne) ARB truck. However, with the larger vehicles you need to consider operator licensing, 6–8 weekly inspections, and the appropriate driver licence requirements. On the plus side, you won’t run the risk of being overweight.

Cheers,
Ted 🚚👍
