They look well, had one as a company van when I was on the water, all vans are strong money these days, I dont know if i rate them enough for the extra money.

I know you said you wanted something newish, but have you thought about an ex copper van/utilities welfare van from somewhere like Brightwells? They're usually well serviced, but high milage.

My work car came from there and it hasn't skipped a beat.

I'm open to all options, if something turns up 5 years old, if it's tidy with decent service history I'll be interested. I was looking at the Ducato earlier, but can't stop that yearning to get a Transit.

I need to pull my big boys pants up and decide what I want

Keep an eye on Brightwells.

When I get a van it'll be an ex-cop one, but a bit older than you're looking for.

This will likely go for £4,700

I'd be amused by the idea, welfare van and on the last day of work, sweep it out and drive off into the sunset with a passable camper van to start retirement with (OK, sunset might be a Southern European tour and then go up to Hammerfest with the summer, back down for winter)

I think you've missed the point, I'm looking for a work van.

Yellow vehicles are joyful vehicles. I passed a shitter of a new Beetle (which I hate because I've done dreadful jobs on my mate's dreadful one) earlier and it still made me smile because it was yellow.

Did you punch the person closest to you?

Thats what we did at school whenever a yellow beetle drove past.

Old pleasures are a hard habit to beat 🤪
