Why does the falteimer one have to be in white, every climber you see getting this mouldy looking triangle out of the van at the start of the job! Would of been better in black, maybe easier to see you throwline in the box I suppose.

As a triangle it’s black ?…. Any way I’d say that mold is more testimony to its longevity, I’ve had two in the last 15+ years and I’d still be in the original probably if it wasn’t in a stolen climbing kit.  
Bought a cheap one off eBay as a back up and it lasted two minutes before one of the steel rods poked through the side.

Yes I would prefer to have something that is going to stand the test of time. I think some of this notch gear is not quite worth the money they ask of it.

I must admit I’ve not really being paying much attention to new climbing kit , looking around as I replacing most of it the other week I was surprised to see how much stuff was notch.

I was looking at the notch carbons as my old geckos are wearing a bit thin…. Nearly 1 k !!!! I’m gonna have to buy some carbon fibre and add some strips on !
