Looking for a replacement brake band for a 1984 Jonsered 630 - part no. 504 98 34 62. Early model with the tubular metal front hand guard. Anybody point me in the right direction or know if there is an Husqvarna equivalent that would fit?

Not sure you will get that band, it will probably a complete later chain brake, Husqvarna never used that band, the 630 was a Husqvarna 162se but for some reason Jonsered used there own brake.

Thanks for the info. Was hoping one of the Husqvarna bands might fit.

Presumably it would be feasible to use a complete side plate from another Jonsered or Husqvarna?

Jonsered 630/625/670 should all fit, you can fit Husqvarna 162/266/268/272 but would need to modify the back of the cover due to the angle of the top handle where it fits to the tank.

Thanks for the update, just need to find a cover now. Band hasn't failed yet but getting very thin & would like the reassurance that it would work if needed.
