I like old muscle cars. Often buy them at a bargain price and flog them on when Im bored.

Bought a '69 Barracuda for a bag of sand and flipped it for £3k a year later. Last owner could not find the vin to get the V5. Was stamped in various body panels.

Bought an Aussie Charger for £5k and sold it to a guy in NZ for £15k three years later. Its currently getting a full resto.

On the look out for a '70's Dodge Pick-up. Found a cool M880 a mate used to own, currently in haggle mode with the seller.

I'm by no strength a used car dealer and never want to be, I can see where there is money to be made in them mind, dashboard warning lights that are MOT failures put the vast majority off buyers of. Most are easily fixed with a test meter and a bit of thinking.

You wouldn't have much luck with mot fails up here Eggs, my mechanic assures me the "glove" system is used.

He places a glove to cover up the warning lights and his mate never ever saw 'em guv.

My truck passed umpteen tests with lights showing thanks to this system.

It's one of them Doug, when I was in East Anglia, my mate Slippery Jim could get most motors passed if they weren't to far out. Lots of these cheap end motors have money in them if you can fix the dash warning lights.

If someone's telling you it's a good little runner, 20 quid part to fix it etc, you've got to ask why they haven't done it themselves.

I usually offer those optimists £20 on top of the price and ask when will be convenient to collect.
