Portable hanging/strap on platforms

I am hoping to pick a few brains with this question.

Does any one have any experience with small mobile platforms that can be hung from the tree or strap to the tree?

...........or ideas?

The platform will need to be carried up to three hours through very hilly jungle then installed at up to 40m above ground.

Once installed it will then have to be accessed and occupied during the day and night.

Looked at both options you guys have mentioned, the climbing platforms used by "big wall" climbers such as the Blackdiamond look great but I feel will be trouble as they are less rigid and we do get a lot of wind in front of the storms.

The hunting style stands are currently top of the list as they also will not get chewed by the things that live in the trees when we will not be there.

The platforms are for a crepuscular and nocturnal scientific monitoring survey of and will need to be stable for observations and  thermal camera recordings etc.

Has any one helped photographers or scientists on arboreal projects before that can share some of their experiences so we do not have to re-invent the wheel or make mistakes that could be avoided?
