Recommend me a logsplitter

I have a 15 ton splitter run off the tractors hydraulics which works very well.

 

However, to free up the tractor, I would like to run a splitter off my MF 35, which hasn't the hydraulic capabilities of the bigger tractor, so what I want is a hydraulic 15 ton splitter run off the pto, preferrably with auto-return, but there doesn't seem to be much choice.

 

Any recommendations?

 

Or another thought, what would I need partswise to convert the current splitter to run off the pto?

Pto pump and tank and run it off MF35.

I built a power pack a couple of years ago to free up tractor and to use on site yo save taking tractor, but it's a bit of a monster,

Check out AMR range from fuel wood they do a PTO 17t splitter for less than 2k ours has been good for the money although the return springs don't seem to last they can be bodged .. you get what you pay for .. we run it alongside a Posche which is a different league but triple the price.

I've just had a quote of £2,880 plus vodka and tonic, for the ARM, so not very cheap, but I do like the look of it. However, I may have to go down the "adding a pto pump to my splitter" route.

 

Can the ARM be "converted" to one hand operation, not that I would ever consider doing it!

Hmmm they will have gone up a bit but you still won't find anything commercial grade and decent for less.
Possibly it could be converted 🤷🏼

Why does the Splitter need to run off a PTO? Why not a petrol powered Splitter that has its own tow hitch?  Mine is 22T

I've been told, whether true or not, that a small pertrol engine won't produce the speed of a tractor powered pump, although I stand to be corrected.

Will depend on how it's set up, if it has two stage pump will be as fast as tractor. 

If I rev my power pack to full revs it's faster then any tractor.
