hi has anyone dismantled and weighed in a mobile home before?

i have a 28 x 10 old mobile home that i may have to move just wondering what sort of weight is in the metal work.

thanks carl

Not a lot , chassis might have 4-500kgs in it, Ally of the outside might be 200kgs, copper, brass and stainless from the plumbing side of it will be of the highest value for the least work, scrap value might be 3-400 quid but a lot of work and a lot of crap to get rid of,

Cost of having someone do it will be more than the value of the scrap.

Only way to make it pay is do it yourself.

Did one about 10 years ago.

A 35 by 12 had 3 builders bags of insulation to get rid off.

Lots of wood but untreated so could burn it.

Steel was basically worthless at the time.

I've got a friend who had one (actually a few..) in his garden, first a family member living in it, then as storage.

But in the end he didn't really need all the storage space so he cut it in half and made a new front for it!
