2100 started life as the 1100, and finished as the 2101, the 298 was the 2100 but with the 480 fuel tank, the saw was pretty bullet proof bar for a couple of issues, chain oil leaking into the fuel tank due to the o ring leaking on the bottom of the manual oiler, and the oil pipe for the manual oil behind the muffler expanding and bursting on the back of the hot muffler, makes a right mess, just some boring facts as I prep sunday dinner.

I use a Stihl type roller chain catcher fitted on the spike, longer than the Husqvarna type and available cheap on the Bay if it's the earlier type of 2100

Do you mean this one?

Do you have a hole in one of the dogs? I have a spare Husky one somewhere.

The hole is through the middle of the rubber AV, the bolt is there so I cannot understand how the catcher was missing but then it is 30+ years since I last used it and memory gets blurred.

If you're thinking of dropping by then yes please else I'll just order one. PM sent earlier

If you want it just fire me a pm with your address and I will post it.

That's a kind offer I'll PM you and send some money to a charity you designate or cancer research.

Hello OSM

Just checked, this is the one I have.

Would it suit?

Can measure the parts for you if unsure?

Steve
