If you tried what I suggested you'd solve the problem and if you powered it with one of these you'd be able to vary the fan speed / airflow to whatever speed you wanted at different parts of the process.

Edit. I not sure if these have a variable speed control, but you'll definitely be able to find one that has.

I already had soured my fans so wasn’t an option at that time.
