SRT advice needed?

Currently climbing using DRT with a ZigZag on the main line and a DMM Hitchclimber and prosaic on a second line.
I would be interested in having a go at climbing SRT.  So what is the best system set-up for climbing on SRT and why?

1) ZigZag & Chicane
2) Rope Wrench
3) other options?

id imagine either the chicane as its made for the zz or a rope wrench pretty sure you can use them with a zz but id check that!

a foot asscender and some sort of chest harness thing for advancing the system and id say you coud get going on srt, plenty more gear for it available but easier to start simple.

Akimbo on xstatic. Smooth on a clean dry rope, a bit jumpy on a wet rope once bedded in and doesn’t like Sap too much other than that lovely to climb on and mid line detachable.

Bulldog bone on cougar blue or orange non CE version rope, same as the akimbo but tends like a knot for a mechanical device. Lovely to climb on and bulletproof, also mid line detachable.

Zig zag and chicane smooth as silk to run as you would expect I prefer the smaller zig zag to the new one as it’s less bulky. As the set up is quite long with the chicane attached. Not midline detachable. And not as compact or user friendly as the two systems above ive found.

Rock exotica unicender, lovely on the line smooth ascending, compact device but a bit sketchy descending and you will wear it out quick bombing out of trees.

Hitch climber and rope wrench same as zig zag and chicane but no way near as smooth on the line.

Kevin Binghams rope runner / Notch rope runner same as akimbo and bone just a slightly larger system. Also midline detachable.

Keep it simple and you won’t go wrong. Find someone local with a few devices and have a go on them. I prefer the bone or akimbo over all the others. Hope this helps
