The tour will be largely confined to the Dalzell estate managed by North Lanarkshire council. There is plenty to see; Arboretum, gorge habitat, Saint Margaret's Yew, Covenanters Oak, Old chapel site, the plantation Yews on rig and furrow, and of course the Clyde and RSPB nature reserve

The excursion will be informal, dress appropriately for the weather and please feel free bring families. There is not an easy place to get lunch so please bring provisions.

The tour will last approximately two hours leaving time for attendees to explore the site unguided at the end. It is great time of year to look for fungi. These events are put on by the branch to bring members together and there will be plenty of opportunity to socialise.

No booking required.

Directions:

Please meet at the car park at RSPB Barons Haugh, Manse Road, Motherwell at 10:00am
ML1 2QW. (nearest postcode)
