Writing an article about this for the wood chip site...a lot of information out there, and quite worrying when I think of the amount of decaying wood chip i've shovelled over the years.

I know a couple of tree surgeons with an incurable fungal lung disease, presumably from cutting decaying wood frequently.
Strangely my dad also has this, but he was an art teacher🤷🏽‍♂️

Is that rue?

Thanks

Basically, young lad and i were shovelling huge volumes of chip, i smoked rollups heavily at that  point, he were coughing his lungs out n i was alright, he said he'd never felt as bad. Nicotine  does kill a lot of bugs, often used by beekeepers in their hive smokers. NOT that i advocate smoking ( I dont now, thankfully 😣)  k
