E10 fuel and chainsaws?

Recommended Posts

Thanks.  I did not know that.  My closest petrol station is BP.  It looks like their Ultimate E5 petrol is ethanol free (for the moment) except in the South West of England.  Good to know.
E5 means 5% ethanol!

I think you are right , however you might not get as much work ...

Putting something right that has been screwed up unnecessarily by the shite that masquerades as fuel nowadays is soul destroying work anyway.

Would much rather be fixing something which has either broken or worn out.

Or just get them running sweet.

Yes and it's caused immeasurable damage and expense.

I'm not going to read through this whole thread and apologies in advance if it's already been mentioned but... I find fuel stabilisers work well and I've been keeping my small engines safe using it for around 10 years and also trying to get the message out to others... particularly if they expect me to continue repairing their equipment.

Yes, Aspen's great but who could afford to use it in an expensive gas guzzling engine like a bike, an outboard or a car where this fuel causes the same damage.

This will treat 300 litres of fuel for £9

PREVENT future engine problems with Ethanol Shield. This year round fuel stabiliser is suitable for power equipment...
