Is that a bad thing?

A mot once a year on a machine that you should maintain to a good standard anyway. No big deal but a few £

a log book issued for every trailer in my mind would reduce the theft of trailers hugely over night, this in turn should (but probably wont) reduce our insurance costs - there’s your trailer mot paid for

 

At the end of the day this should only be a problem to those running a nicked trailer with no brakes. That’s not a problem in my opinion.

 

EDIT:

If licensing laws are made easier it could also reduce the number of over weight 3.5 ton trucks on the road by allowing the average jo to run a bigger truck that isn’t over weight and there for safer???

What's suggested is that B holders can get B+E by applying for it with no test needed. Not automatic, but apply online and they add it.

 

There's been talk of being able to go straight to C+E without doing C first, but nothing official and when i did my C test 3 weeks ago i was told it was very unlikely that that would happen, it would probably remain the same; C first then C+E after. (Which i need to book.)

I got the lot up to 7.5 + a trailer 750kg bloody grandad that I am… but they think (eu ?) every Tom dick and Mary cant drive for toffy But were not all the same I tell you.. 

, and those stuck up law money grabbing buggers that think we’re all the same and want more gravy train courses  to fund the wealthy entrepreneurs..

 

this place is/ has gone down the drain.. 

 

btw I will refrain on comment in other threads That I deem to political 🤔

 

Edit…. I forgot to say about the Sharon's and Karen’s that can’t even reverse a car into a double parking space.. so it’s true we’re not al, the same. Thank goodness 👍👊

Yes. When was the last time government interference in anything made anything better?

What sort of brass am i looking at for 7.5t license and trailer test? looks like you going / looking at the same route. Thanks

I wouldn't bother doing C1+E (7.5t  + trailer) personally mate. It's much the same as C+E in that it'll be 2 tests in a pretty similar vehicle but you'll be limited after.

 

I've paid £2,500 all in for my C+E, which includes the medical, theory, hazard perception, 2 practical tests and the training for both C and C+E.

 

This is in NW London so may be cheaper out your way.
