I watched it. Thought it was pretty decent in the beginning then a I got fed up of the over the top drama, things going completely wrong then suddenly working out. The editing is completely all over the the place and the dramatised music felt like I was watching Kitchen Nightmares USA. At the end of the day It's reality TV, so it just entertainment. I think the majority of the show is scripted for the suspense.

I never saw much of Axe men, only clips.

Canadians seem calmer, less shouty, less dramatic even uncomfortable on camera at times.

Questions for those in the know.

The logs they are pulling up often look to be very poor, like they have been down for many years, is this just for the camera?

Also, the working conditions, is this how it really is? It is a shit show of thousands of trees ****************ed over on top of each other any old how.

I have a crisis when a conifer branch snags on Mrs Miggins gate and have to work around dog shit and flower pots never minds that slippery slope of near death those guys dance around on.

Is it like " axe men " ?

I preferred axe 🪓 men like watching bukin billy ray like that swamp loggers to watching that Shelby. Been watching big timber got to about episode 5 but it’s a bit slow old fellow sounds like my old man never stops moaning 😂 👍
