1 off lads was saying really not a good thing anyway in this extreme heat as could shock Ur body with such a difference in temps.

Is that true??

Maybe if you took 20L of ice water and dunked yourself in it. Nowt wrong with drinking cold drinks, cold showers etc are also recommended so 🤷🏼‍♂️

Get some non-comedogenic sun screen, Riemann stuff is good but expensive. Drink some isotonic sports drinks as your body is probably using all the salt up sweating and unable to absorb more water.

Adding Dioralyte to the first aid kit is also a must. Heat exhaustion can become heat stroke in this weather pretty darn quick.

PADDY IS ABSOLUTELY RIGHT.

Proper isotonic (NOT ENERGY DRINK) work absolutely fine.

Yet Isotonic as it's the types of salts etc you need to combat cramps and other things as drinking lot's of plain water can flush everything out so you become deficient.

One of the things we did when at Cemetery when hot like this and that place was like an oven this time of year but a dam deep freezer in winter!

Was soak T shirt in cold water and when got fridge rolled up and left in there then swapped over once mine had dried out.

Also thin ice pack round small of back cools just like a warmer will heat you in winter.

@drinksloe yup, definately, not pissing aint a good sign either. Huge intakes of fluid upzets yr body, as those clubbers on drugs unfortunately found out ( Wot Lia Betts died from, sadly - not the drug but pressure on brain) teaspoon of salt in box of fruit juice is a good rehydrator. Tastes  better too. K

In a litre box? Or one of those little ones with the straw on the side?

When working flat out in this heat, I try and get at least 6l into me over the working day, preferably a litre an hour. If you don't have isotonic drinks (not needed all the time), I eat fruit and salted peanuts or crisps as a snack. Helps a lot IMO
