Advice on tipper back for Nissan navara.

Thought I'd share with what I decided to go for in the end. Seemed a ranger or hilux was just too costly and not ideal. For my needs. Having had this Toyota dyna for a couple weeks I'm pretty happy with it, built a back for it cost me £120 in total and easily enough done. Can is a bit cramped and you feel every bump in the road but for the price and what I can do with this now mo ey well spend. I found that finding a good truck is hard but when you do it's worth the wait. So I appreciate all who advices me to stay clear of certian vehicles. Looks a good job . Could you not run the greedy boards right to the back ?

Nice tidy job - as moose says, unpainted they’ll rot quicker than a log of silver birch on the ground. Try and get them painted in something like black bitumen paint or similar including all the edges. This will keep them looking smart and rot free for far longer.

I was thinking of painting the sides but needed to put her to work the next day. I will at some point tho. 

I didnt run the sides all the way to the back because I like to run a rope over the back to hold the ladders. Also never going to stack her out with huge weight ect. I got the sides cut to 90" I believe. 

Pretty happy with how it all worked out :)

That ram geometry might get to a steep tip which ensures that compacted chip exits quickly, but, it would be pushing forward before it starts to push up! Awful lot of strain on the fabrications and pivots, you did well to avoid it. If you are doing mainly urban work, a 4x4 is unnecessary- you did well with the tipper!
