Mature Loquat

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I'm looking to plant two loquats in my garden. Would like around 10-15ft in height. I seem to have looked everywhere online but cannot locate the more mature version for sale.  Any help, links or advise would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Phil

Unfortunately, they don't supply these trees. If anyone else has any other ideas to source these that would be great.

Just get some smaller ones they will grow in a few yrs  an will be loads cheaper...

Eriobotrya Japonica Loquat or Japanese Loquat is an exotic evergreen shrub with large leaves, white scented flowers...

Or is this required  for a moneys non object instant mature looking garden or something? 🙂

Smaller trees usually  establish alot better anyway......

Hi Stere,

Thanks for the contribution and your time.

It's the latter unfortunately, I require some immediate height on the current garden project.

I grew a Loquat tree from seed a few years ago. When I moved house 14 years later it was about 8 foot tall and in spread maybe more. It was on the edge of the vegetable plot so I'd cut it back a few times as well, branches and roots.
They're nice trees. Don't think they fruit in this climate unfortunately, although I've seen some very large specimens in central London in flower, maybe they went on to fruit as well.
