Makita 7900 build quality?

That saw goes back to like 2004 give or take.  Old school build without all the bells whistles of today's saws.

Still one of the best out there IMHO in class.  7900 and 500i  basically same in cuts here.  But you can buy 2 7900 for price of 1 500.

Friends 2 saws in video

I was looking to deal with Shavey but seems to have gone quiet on here.

But yeah I’m also confused why the 6100 has a larger fuel tank..maybe ergonomics?

Yeah sorry been a bit up and down here I’ve decided to give up full time work and concentrate on having a easier lifestyle and spend more time at home

I still haven’t had a conformation about price and availability there’s hardly

any big red red ones around  but later in the summer can invest in some red or

blue whatever I available

No worries that sounds like a good plan!

You should make Makita an offer and buy them out of their petrol stuff then BRING BACK DOLMAR!

That might screw up your quiet home life though 😂

Seriously though, I reckon demand will still be there so buy what you can.

Shavey is a top bloke to deal with.

If you want a saw built like a tank, try the makita 9010 90cc, my God that thing is heavy. It's like a growling gorilla. 🤣🤣

Thanks I will bear that in mind but I think this is way big enough for my needs at the moment!

Putting a 28” bar on it which should be a good balance just hope it oils well enough.

My Dolmar 6100 and the little 4300 really do oil well so wouldn,t think you,d have too much trouble there
