572 is a unit, I love mine and would pick it up over the 500i every time.

That's interesting. Why 572 over 500i? I've not used either, but from the specs the 500i smokes it.

Can’t speak for the 201 but the 572 and 661 are both solid saws, highly recommend them. You kinda need something smaller for snedding though, 550 or similar.
572 is a unit, I love mine and would pick it up over the 500i every time. I run mine on a 20” bar for fast cutting but you could put a 24” on there easily I’d say and save on the 661 for the time being.
I’d go with top handle, 550 & 572 for the time being. When a big job comes along that you NEED a big saw you can stick a little extra in to go towards the 661 then.

The 572 is a fantastic saw, a bit of a beast. With a 20" bar it's an animal, but i've run a 28" on mine and it pulls it just fine. It's a bit nose-heavy with a 28 though, put plenty capable.

As you said, 550 is a great smaller saw. Mine runs a 15" and she rips. Very light and balanced, a great little saw to run.

The 201T or TC is great. Not quite the legend that the older 200T is, but still a powerful and reliable top handle.

Everyone bangs on about the 200T. My mate has a couple and sure, it's a reliable capable saw. I'm not a fan of them really. I prefer my T540, better AV and ergonomics, plenty of power. My baby T525 is a little powerhouse, really nice to use. I used 201TCs at a place i worked a few months ago, pretty decent but i prefer the T540.
