Yes surprising how you nip a bit of the end and they sit up really well. Doesn't take a lot either

I like climbing them, and a bit of silky work to thin out laterals so they  dont clump up with needles or snow makes all the difference, pity it often gets left till its too late. K

Thinning cedars is a good way to accelerate branch failure 

Causes more twisting of branches in the wind.
