I think the title of this thread misconstrues James Wong's comments somewhat. 

 

He's possibly overthinking it, but he does raise valid points. I'd consider myself a keener gardener than most (listen to Gardener's question time often, on which James Wong is a regular panelist) and I'm honestly not bothered by the use (or misuse) of the term heritage. But he's still entitled to his opinion, and he didn't imply that it was racism.

Oh dear. I normally quite like the guy when he's on GQT and when he pops up on TV sometimes, but he's definitely dropped a bollock there! He's completely got the wrong end of the stick and then massively over thought it.
However, I don't believe it was anything to do with racism, he didn't mention that, even implicitly. That idea smells like anti-wokers trying to provoke an argument that wasn't there.
