I Know the Price of Everything and the Value of?

Just find it so hard these days to put a price on anything.  Pre decimalisation ( yes I’m nearly as old as Stubby!) I could tell you the price of most common things.  For instance toothpaste would be only a few pence apart depending on brand

Just went to look for a 20 inch guard for the chainsaw on Amazon and the first one to come up was this Forester

At £35, but postage included generously, I was slightly shocked but then a 16 inch Oregon one further down the page was £2.50!

The price of scabbards always amuses me. They’re so cheap and you still see saws rattling around tool lockers, going blunt on hard things and cutting up soft things.

That's what climbing ropes are for; you make a little nest for your saws to sit in. 😉

Bought this one, it tore like a carrier bag second time I slid the bar into it. I must have godlike chain sharpening powers 😎

I did that to the scabbard for my 661 before I’d even fired it up.

There just flimsy now. Much prefer the old style stihl one's. With the new one's just need to make sure the chain brakes off. Otherwise even a blunt chain will slice through them like butter
