I put this on to the GreenMech Owners Facebook page and sent a round Robin email to our dealers too. Good luck.

Sorry for your loss but the number of times I tell people never to leave tracked chippers on trailers...

Had mine nicked just like that, got it back luckily, but you make a good point.

Even if it is just off the trailer they will make more noise and take longer if it is off. Those RDS units can be configured to need a pin code to start too and if the engine is not running and they cannot pick it up then it is difficult to move. We had 3 stolen in 7 years, two on trailers and one that was started with a generic key.

The adjacent house owner in the last case heard and saw the grinder cutting the chain and did nothing.

Don't ever leave a trailer on a job where a machine is sitting.

Must be a right miffer though.

Thank you so much for doing that, much appreciated. Tell everyone never to leave a tracked machine on a trailer overnight and make sure any remote control is kept totally separately.

E If this post helps one other person not to lose their tracked  machinery by taking it off a trailer and tracking it,  it will be worth while. Your advice is spot on.
