He was from just up the road from me. Fair play to the chap and all I can do is raise my hat to someone who has raised more money for the NHS than I bet even he thought was possible.

 

His achievements are brilliant and people are quite rightly saluting him as a hero while forgetting that he was trying to raise money for a funded institution that has been let down by a bunch of tossers who were happy to give their mates millions for PPE while we're all clapping an old boy walking laps of his garden.

RIP.

 

The following poem was written by a guy called Ortise from JLS.  
 

Don’t worry, I don’t follow JLS.  He used to train at my gym in London and posted it on his Instagram.  
 

I thought it was well written and a fitting tribute to an exceptional human being.

Some of the heartless bastards didn’t even have any drums!

 

RIP Sir Tom, you achieved more in a year than most of us can aspire to achieve in a lifetime.

 

What a man, they don’t make many like him any more.

 

Take it easy up there Captain, you have earned your rest.
