My sisters preferred breed has been for many years Hackney/Welsh cob cross, all breeding stock was sourced from one farmer on the gower peninsula. Great mix of speed and stamina, she competed at international level in Horse driving trials so the guy obviously knew his horses. 

 

If it's the people I think it is, then they're about 1/4 mile from me as the crow. flies. Their property backs onto the field behind my house.

Really decent guy. 

My spelling of the second name may be wrong mind. Horses all carried the name Bishwell.

Like the attention to detail tidy job rounding off the ends, that cant hook  handle looks  abit short...

This is the same bloke using horses for logging, again, middle one,  the sepia photo is of Manu getting in the grape harvest in his area, the last one is his team ploughing, absolutely  magnificent, wish I could see that!
