Hi. I have a bandsaw -woodland mills HM130 which will only do up to 30 inch logs and it's not mobile so can't help with this myself. I think arbmark tree surgeons have an 880 and an Alaskan setup, he's based in Ilfracombe. Otherwise the guy who runs Bideford logs does some but I'm not sure if that's just for himself. Otherwise Iain ? Website sawmillers.co.uk has a Peterson mill which is mobile to a degree but only does dimensional timber up to 8x8.

Plenty of equipment around just not many who make a living milling timber freelance as its pretty brutal on the body at times.

I suppose so. This is just a cash in hand jobby for someone who wants some timber not a client so it would be a chance for someone to earn some cash for what is probably a little over half a days work!

if you've got an 880 you can borrow my logosol, I'm down South Devon

Thank you for the offer. sadly I don't have a big boy saw like the 880, hence the search for someone with one!
