I might change the habit of a lifetime and get the little stihl corded saw. Need something to do branches on a sawhorse at the house.

I think Id find being attached to a cord all the time incredibly frustrating and limiting. Id also be constantly conscious that Id end up cutting through the cord.

I buy mostly DeWalt tools so I have plenty batteries, (just bought a 18v first fix nailer awesome bit of kit) but my brother has mostly Makita so it was a no brainer for him to get a Makita 36v Saw. And its really good for what his needs are.

The Stihl Battery Saws are great as well, but its a big investment if you dont already have the batteries and chargers.

Titan £40 2 year warranty Screwfix no quibble if anything goes wrong what's not  to like?

A friend of mine has been using one of these for a couple of years and really likes it. Pulls well and stops as soon as the trigger is released.

Well I am really pleased with this Oregon electric saw. Cannot believe the power and was sceptical about the sharpening facility but as I only cut virgin timber chains normally last me a long time between sharpening. Anyway sods law intervened and some idiot had put a nail in the tree trunk and I hit it. Two second pull on the sharpening lever and back to a sharp saw. Cannot believe how good it is.

Went to local lawnmower guy, who does a load of saws too, had a wee play with a couple of corded electric and a battery saw. Bought a stihl battery one as I can use it for more jobs. Got a good deal on the 120. Thanks for all the advice, guess I’ll be a stihl battery saw guy from now on.
will report back once I’ve used it a bit.

Get the stihl battery saw.
They’re a really good little saw.
Never need to buy petrol,
No exhaust, low sound and vibrations, can use it indoors, and outdoors without annoying the neighbours. Etc.

I’ve access to mains electricity so don’t need a battery saw, need a decent corded saw, any advice ?

🤣🤣🤣[emoji108]
