moving an empty container... how easy is it!?

I saw one moved with two fork trucks, but if most people are like me they don't have two fork trucks at home.

access is tight but it will go, it would have to go in long ways the whole way down the garden

could get a digger in, like a 5 ton but not a telehandler or anything

Not much help in a garden but 2 of us moved a decent sized portacabin on tarmac by hand using 2 pump trucks and scaffold tube rollers.

 

Don't know if a container is more secure than any other building? Also steel containers can have condensation problems unless you line them

A 3 tonner will shove 1 on the hard no bother, rolling it on round posts even better, if grounds sift runs scaffold planks down first

It will move just need to plan first I have moved them with a tirfor and buried landrover spare wheel just need to keep it off the ground on rollers and not rush the job or just get a big hiab

If it's only a short container open the doors right back and put a straw bale on telehandler tines and lift from inside.

Ah didn't see that bit, just assumed that as a container is 8' wide a forklift would get in.

Moved mine on a 14’ Ifor a couple of weeks ago. 
You will need skids across the deck as there is nowt under there to support it.

dropping off skid to someone tomorrow and they do loads of container fab work and conversions
