Cheers @topchippyles, in fact, I've just spotted another one, about 35 miles away, so not too far, seems a bit newer, possibly a 'stronger' motor as well.  Now the question is the first one is a buy now price (if still available), or the second one is an auction (damn, given the game away there!!) with the same 'start' price as the first one.  Decisions decisions...

Pretty much the same machine phil just a newer version which will reflect in the price. Expect that newer one will make good money £500-600 ish depending if the imported stuff in coming in from china again. P/T were making silly money a while back second hand

I like tools and tend to keep a wee eye on what is for sale and prices. In general prices are high as demand is high just now across the whole range of tools. Guess there is a lot of people with time on their hands doing a lot of web searching and spending what would be unspent holiday money.

Hi, many of the bits on that machine look the same as my Metabo HC 260  which I'm very happy with as a more than entry level machine, most of it above the stand apart from the switch gear and plastic knobs look very much the same...if that's the case spares are available in UK 👍

Yes, the HC260 labelled machined are pretty much all clones of each other - I'm guessing they are all made in the same factory and then badged for each individual reseller (Elektra, Metabo etc etc).  Very similar process to some of the benchtop planers as well (and quite a lot of domestic white goods etc).
