As everyone else has said... try before you buy. Also more expensive doesn’t mean better, I spent over £200 on pfanners and after a month I sold them on Facebook as i couldn’t get on with them!!

Dan is spot on, the ‘best’ are the best for you.

Awwww ? Thank you for that I do have to travel to the mainland occasionally do I am happy to travel anywhere as long as I find comfortable kit to wear. I don’t mind the cost ? So you recommend Pfanner Mark ?

You definitely need to try on trousers from several manufacturers and decide by fit, not brand. Arbortec do women’s fit chainsaw trousers.

The Husqvarna Technical Robust are certainly the most hard wearing trousers that I have had, I have found them virtually indestructible.
They do a Technical Arb version in type ‘C’, and you will need type ’C’ on any LANTRA climbing course/NPTC assessment.

As others said try before you buy! If you are getting in to tree surgery then definitely buy type C. I use SIP Canopy W-Air. I would look at those (I've seen female arborist on YouTube review them) and I would also look at Arbortecs range of trousers too as they have women's specific ones. You might find that most regular chainsaw trousers aren't that nice of a fit as they are more designed for men even though they are "unisex". Also try and do some odd leg manoeuvres when trying them. A pair of trousers feels complete ly different in the air than on the ground!

@Samantha48  its not as easy fr women on the trouser front, but they last about a year only, so fret not. Knew really tall skinny guy who ended up with long enuff leg on trouser but two of him would fit in the arse bit! K

I will definitely shop around and I am glad some companies do sell Ladies trousers despite the industry being mainly male. I know it is a hard slog but I really want to do this as a career ? Thank you so much for being understanding  and helping me ?

Thankyou Paddy I will try busting some dance moves in the shop when I am trying on the chainsaw trousers ? should definitely have a good idea by then ?
