That's the trouble with arduino. You start with making something that turns a light on and off and end up with a AI beer opener...

Well, I can build the unit and get it powedercoated for sub £1000 including the harken winch. The GRCS system is around £2800 with the VAT so unless single testing costs £1800 then I'm quids in!

Well I want to see you drop test a Volvo on it else I’ll not be buying one 🤣[emoji23]

I think for now the programming is complete

The Arduino has 4 selectable loadcell calibrations so i can have a 20kg 100kg 2000kg and 5000kg loadcell

On button press it will display the maximum achieved

Scales can be tared

The hardware side is a morning from completion i do enjoy have a bigish mill that can remove some proper material

, im awaiting bits from the laser cutters then i will be building a testing a completely new design of climbing device  preliminary 3d print prototype was very good

Aswell as load testing my rigging winch

Finally can stop thinking about c++ for a while you wpuld or wouldn't believe the agro a bloody bracket can cause in an if statement

I've got a grcs with a damaged winch possibly for sale , from what I can make out it is only a few broken bits of plastic in the drum , it's been replaced wit a complete unit  and was keeping a spare incase of a technical takedown and looking at repairing the drum  but will never in reality get round to it . What would a back plate bollard and damaged winch be worth to anyone ?
