Auto tune can only give possible things that could be wrong assuming fault codes come up, it does not take away the need for experienced service people, auto tune logs high and low fuel settings, if read correctly these themselves can give a good idea of what may be happening ( too rich, too lean ) if auto tune has richened the mixture then the saw is running lean for a reason, air leaks, fuel starvation etc, if it has leaned the mixture then we know it is running rich, blocked air filter, blocked muffler spark arrestor etc, it would be very unusual for the ignition to give the symptons you are describing.

the new carb was put on and made no difference the dealer did state that he has experienced  a faulty coil and giving the same symptoms so im intrigued to find out now will have to hold out and wait till it arrives to see if it solves the issue no spark arrestor in the saw and air filter is clean

So actually, cos of jiggery pokery electronic carb compared to fit n tune manual carb, this has lost you a few days cutting. Might be 200squid of logs or several hundred squid of standing timber. So tell me again how this high flying techno carb is good then? K

@markrufrider  I have had a few e-carb models and would try to convert if possible to manual carb, ran and successfully tuned saws fr many years. No point to it - just dealer making money.  K

yeah that's why asked in previous post if electronic carbs need to be calibrated to the saw otherwise id just buy the carb and fit it myself but its under warranty so they can pay for it
