Hi all,

Does anyone have any recommendations and or experience of these devices, are they effective? Got a couple of old cars in the garage plus other kit and would like to deter the critters taking up residence.

Cheers,

They do work but better as part of a programme of measures got them in the grain store  still see occasional rats, also work with teenagers!

Currently there is only my 1994 mercedes SL280 with 52,000 mile on the clock, its powered hood is a thing of beauty to operate and a joy to drive with the hood down. I will soon be getting (inherited) my Dads 1969 MGC roadster, one owner from new with the Austin Healy 3liter straight six engine and overdrive down here too. I don't want mice etc feasting on wiring and other bits!

regards,

As a massive sceptic of these kind of devices, I finally bought one for a mice problem in the house, when poison didnt work. I got a Pest Bye Advanced Rat and Mouse Repeller. It was about 5 years ago and think it was about £25 of Amazon. Product code PB0002.

This is a pretty good bit of kit and works really well. I get them in my attic and in the void between the ground floor and upstairs so it was a pain in the arse putting out bait.

I only use for about 5 weeks at a time as the electronic noise annoys my older son, but a couple of weeks on the initial phase to wind them up (apparently a mother mouse wont leave any you behind) and then 3 weeks on the normal setting does the trick.

It will cover the whole house and its what you need. It also claims to get rid of spiders as well so thats a bonus.

No affiliation to the company, just a delighted customer.
