Covid 19 inconsistencies

Recommended Posts

The goverments mixed msgs & free market idealogy  of out sourcing the covid response to a selection of private companies that seem clueless  has lead to it being a series of disasters.

If  they had acted sooner with bringing in certain restrictions imo it would of being less deaths and also less lockdown restrictions needed now so less overall disruption to the ecomony.

Bit  like clearing an area of rhody best either don't bother or aim to do a proper 100% job so is doesn't come back

Half a job is abit pointless and means alot of money waisted if its just allowed to regen.

Unless you lock the borders and stop everything  you cannot get grid of it 100%

Big J made a comment a while back ref leaking pipes that describes the situation we are in very well.

Id agree that full on capitalism is a cancer but also the last attempts at full on union power and state ownership were a total disaster. I don't have the answers but I'd hope it's somewhere in between both extremes.

If they had acted sooner ???? Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Who in all honesty would have thought we would still be in this situation.

I have huge misgivings about the way this has been handled from the outset.

Me to. Seems like the most draconian and ineptitude is displayed in Scotland and Wales though.

Apart from pay a fair amount of tax, obviously.
So it's not surprising that we're well into a second spike then is it; with so many selfish inconsiderate INDIVIDUALS like this around. Proverbially shitting in other people's gardens.

i hope this brings about the end of the failed socialist experiment that is the NHS.

Impossible to see a GP, zero accountability to you the customer.

Cancer treatments cancelled, zero accountability to you the customer.

NHS refusing to operate on a 24x7 basis, normal 37 working week only as its convenient to the highly paid quacks. Zero accountability to you the customer.

The  NHS is not great. Its a treatment rationing death machine which the users of have zero control of.

I was trying to reply to this message, for some reason it didn't get quoted properly.

As I said, I am, for the most part. I really dont have a choice if I wanna put food on the table. I dont have to agree with it or remain silent about it either. But the reality of it is most folk round me are just ignoring it all. We still have folk over, we still all shake hands, we all stand side-by-side and have a blether. The Council Contractors are working outside the house just now. Road closed jobbie. All carrying on as if it never happened, which is quite encouraging really. Happy for me to pop down, have a chat, see whats going on and bring them brews. They even dug a tree out I was wanting rid of for me, which was nice.

Sadly no, not drunk! For some reason the quoting other post in my reply isn't working properly.
I was trying to reply to the statement about people ignoring the common sense, (and to be honest not too arduous), precautions against virus transmission that we could and should all be taking.
If people had been more sensible over the summer, after lockdown was lifted, then we could probably have avoided the draconian restrictions that we're now facing again. Just to be clear; I'm not solely blaming us as the general population for the mess, I think the ongoing series of monumental government ****************ups has been a bigger factor. I have absolutely no respect for the current government or its policies. I do however trust what the true scientists are advising it to do.
