Moving Slabs advice /help needed

Hi All,

Milling, for me, is a hobby.

Recently I've been gifted some large pieces and I've hit a small roadblock.

Q: I'm looking for an inexpensive way of moving slabs from my milling area to the air drying area.

The route is reasonably flat but the surface is road plannings with the odd  shallow-ish pothole. 25m ish run.

I work on my own and some of the slabs are 40kg -70kg.

Has anyone got some suggestions?  Budget ...like to be under £250 but can extend for the right kit.

Cheers

Bob

40-70kg is quite light really. Asmall 2 wheeled cart would handle that easily. Easy to make as well, just a couple of Trailer wheels, an axle and a sheet of Ply etc on the top. I have something similar I got for nothing that carts my beams around with ease.

Like a Carpet dolly/cart I get it.
Yes the 40kg ones are manageable...but these are just a bit too much. Closer 70kg. I'm not a big chap...around 70kg myself.

We always used a wheelbarrow for shifting planks, takes a bit of practice but balance the planks across the top and you'll be able to move them over almost any terrain.
