Tipping Trailer Lost Remote

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I have an Meredith&Eyre 3.5 tonne tipper. I've only gone and lost the remote fob that powers it up and down.

Is there a way around this so I can tip logs again.

Many thanks in advance guys and I uploaded a picture of the trailer not sure if that helps.

Guessing you mean to tip it electrically? Looks like the is a socket (black to the right of the sticker on the front box in the picture) for a wander lead, probably only three pins, live, up and down, should be able to make some thing up, or buy from M&E. A new fob from M&E, but guess you need the receiver as well (paired?), a winch remote kit from ebay may be cheaper.

Or if all else fails, the hand pump on the front!

It's easy. Get a length of wire, open up the flap where you plug in the lead,  jam one in the small pin, the other in the top large one to go up, bottom one to go down

.

Also, instead of buying another,  get yourself a wireless tipping kit. The box of tricks simply plugs into the trailer the  you have a wireless remote.

We foundsome remote fobs that were a miserly £25 each rather than some £75. Might be from some far off land.......
