Oriental Gall Wasp

Recommended Posts

Today I found my first case of Oriental Gall Wasp on a Sweetchestnut coppice site in Kent. It was first found in Kent in 2015, since then it has spread to other parts of the county and large parts of Greater London. If you find any, report it on tree alert as the FC want to monitor its spread.

Interesting. I presume there is an info sheet or white paper on FC website?

Haven't seen anything myself of this but can't say I have been looking.

Yes, loads of info on FC sites. There is a map showing all the areas with confirmed OGW, it’s certainly increased massively in the last five years.
