Don’t see why? Our 540 ixpt is on 3/8 pico and it fly’s, it’s the way forward for small hand tools .
My 36v Makita is on 3/8 and I think that's fine on branches over about 1.5" so it's great for dismantles. The 1/4 is less grabby on smaller cuts, so I think much better for pruning and I've put it on my 18v Makita.

Anyway - 5% reduction? So that's 18 inches off the top of a 30 foot tree and a whisker off the sides? You don't need a chainsaw, you need a pair of Felcos.
