never even seen one of them before but that'l be a lot more like the price you want to pay. if its not far from you then go have a look :001_smile:

Just had a look on ebay at the GZD - at £4k that would be a good machine especially as it's the high tip version. Check deck blade spindle bearings, pto connections from the engine to the deck and hydraulic drive (the main wheel drive/power - try the drive paddles forward and back - no strange noises or straining sounds -it's very very expensive to repair. This little machine is great fun to drive. Ours was the first in the country and we had loads of other contractors up for a go - its scampers like a cockroach when you're getting used to it.

I haven't bought one just yet, but I'm still looking mate, I need to get the trailer first anyways, I got a grant for that so happy days....

We haven't, as yet picked up any bigger contracts, which is a wee bit of a pisser, what with all the work I have put into tenders so far this year.

But I'm still gonna go ahead and buy one as something might still turn up contract wise.

What mower did you go for in the end?

Always the way with kit do you buy it then try and get the work or get the work then try and get the kit. Do you mind me asking what grant you got?

Bit of a catch 22 with equipment of that kind, But I think its probably better to be ready instead of buying something last minute, so to speak...

It was with our local Development agency and is for £1200, It has to be spent by the end of April though, so I'm scouring Ebay etc, I thought at first about getting a Box trailer, but I'm not sure now if thats practical for this kind of work, what do you think ?
