I use one to process 8 loads for myself and hire it for about another 20 loads a year.  Plenty power, and a very capable machine. Mine's 5 yr old now and still runs well, albeit the engine dropped a valve and blew, I replaced it with an electric start one and have often wondered why Riko didn't offer this as an option.  Makes starting it after a stall so much easier.
Make sure you get the log lifter with it and also the chamber-side splitting lever.
Think there's a used one for sale near Chorley. Done literally nothing and fully loaded with all the extras, lad's wanting £10k for it no VAT  good saving on what a new one costs
Have a look at the Facebook page  Firewood/Log Processors & Related UK ( Sales, Help&Advise, And Banter/pics

The Farmi wp36 for sale near Wigan was last seen being smuggled over the border into deepest Ross Shire during the small hours of summer solstice

Cheers again for the heads up :thumbup1:

How does the farmi 36 handle 6 inch logs . We need to cut timber to make kindling. Doesthe log fall nicely into the splitting chamber, if not how much grief is it to rectify

Fine. If you have issue it has a support plate to catch the log & then you drop it straight. The ones you have issue with tend to be egg shaped or have branch stubs so the weight is off center & it falls odd. Or if you take to long to cut so it can tip. You would have more issues with big logs than small.

With 6" / single splits I tend to cut 4 so they are all on top of each other in chamber & have 4 way set so it cuts all 4 in half in one go.

If your not splitting as you want kindling you will need to fit something to get log over the lip that remains when you remove the knife.

If not splitting does it matter if it tips? Its just going up the conveyor.

For that I just cut loads till chamber is full & do a half split ram movement & then repeat.
